Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for a Paralegal position to provide legal support to the attorneys representing the Comptroller of Maryland, the Alcohol and Tobacco Commission, and the Baltimore City Liquor Board. The person hired for the position will work part of the week at 80 Calvert Street in Annapolis and part of the week at 301 West Preston Street in Baltimore. The position primarily supports eight attorneys who represent the Comptroller before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. The job responsibilities include reviewing, tracking, and organizing case and court documents; and gathering, organizing, and tracking discovery produced by this office and managing and organizing discovery produced to this office; conducting legal and factual research; summarizing legal research and the contents of documents reviewed; formatting, proofreading and cite checking pleadings, memoranda, and briefs; and helping to catalogue and organize case files and court decisions electronically.
Experience: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and either (1) three years of experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary performing legal research or preparing legal documents on behalf of an attorney or (2) thirty credit hours or a certificate in paralegal studies from an accredited college or university or (3) thirty credit hours from an accredited law school may be substituted for the required experience are required. A college degree and/or certificate from an ABA approved paralegal school or college program with a minimum of 1-year paralegal experience are preferred. Must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal research software such as Westlaw and must be able to prepare legal citation in accordance with the Bluebook. Job Title: Fraud Investigator Position Type: Regular Full Time

Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for Fraud Investigator positions in its Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU). Fraud Investigators will work with Assistant Attorneys General and staff of the MFCU conducting confidential criminal and civil investigations of fraud by health care providers receiving Medicaid funds. Duties include identifying, locating and interviewing key witnesses; analyzing medical records, data and other electronic evidence; preparing witness interview memoranda, preparing spreadsheets and reports; serving subpoenas and other document requests; testifying in grand jury and court proceedings; drafting and executing search warrants, working with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, conducting surveillance; and preparing cases for trial.
Experience: Minimum requirements for this position are a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three years criminal or fraud investigative experience. Applicants may substitute graduate education for the required general experience at the rate of one year of education to one year of experience, for up to two years of the required general experience. Applicants may substitute additional experience as defined above for the required education at the rate of one year of experience to one year of education, for up to four years of the required education.

The position provides administrative support for the four (4) Assistant Attorneys General who constitute the Establishment Unit for the Baltimore City Office of Child Support. Description: The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for a contractual Program Manager to assist the Civil Rights Division in managing the Office's Fiscal Year 2021 Collaborative Approaches toward Preventing and Addressing Hate Crime — Demonstration Projects grant from the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance. The Program Manager will work with the Grant Administrator and OAG's Director of Administration to process sub-grantee awards, review invoices, track programmatic and fiscal performance, and prepare performance and fiscal reports.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and will have at least three (3) years' experience in program management, grant monitoring, or budget preparation, presentation, and execution.
