HB 1222 Guidance on Immigration Enforcement at Sensitive Locations and Facilities that Serve the Public: As required by legislation enacted in 2025 (HB 1222, the Maryland Values Act), the Office of the Attorney General has issued guidance for facilities that serve the Maryland public to help them prepare for the possibility of immigration enforcement actions on their grounds. The HB 1222 Guidance also informs certain units of State and local government that operate at “sensitive locations” about how to comply with mandates that the legislation imposes on them, including the mandate to implement policies based on the guidance by October 1, 2025.
